Salisbury University (often referred to as 'SU' or the 'Bury') is a public university located in the city of Salisbury in Wicomico County, Maryland, roughly 30 miles west of Ocean City, Maryland, and approximately 115 miles southeast of Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, DC.

Salisbury University is located on U.S. Route 13 at the southern edge of Salisbury, MD, which has a metropolitan population of 111,000 and lies 30 miles west of Ocean city, MD; 115 miles southeast of Baltimore, MD and Washington, D.C.; 125 miles south of Philadelphia, PA; and 125 miles north of Norfolk, VA.

Accreditation

Salisbury University has many academic departments, which are accredited by institutions: Two programs in the Department of Chemistry are approved by the American Chemical Society Committed on Professional Training, a specialized scientific society founded in 1876 and recognized through an Act of the U.S. Congress in 1937.
